In keeping with her Do Whatever Is Necessary approach to her turning - she reground a small scraper for cutting the "step" / "notch" in the rim of her lidded boxes. Note the ground off areas on the bottom of the tool (the right most image below). This reliefing allows the tool to work on small radius cuts so the "bottom" doesn't make contact with the wood. Attention to details is characteristic of everything Cindy does.
