The Ants were inspired by a Robert Whitworth of West Bay Woodturners visit to one of our club meetings. His articulated "creatures", mainly insects, use tiny brass, adjustable tension, ball and socket swivel joints - which he makes himself. His critters just blew me away - and got my mind buzzing. Ants & Aunts sound alike and lead to Uncles or Uncs and naturally Ahnks - Ants & Ahnks. The antanae are 0.02" in diameter and done with a 1/16" parting tool used sort of like a bedan.
