Top left: Re-turned from a magnolia blank originally turned by a member, Rich Dege, who recently passed away.
I turned the bowl, dyed the inside with orange aniline dye, then squirted red dye on the inside as the bowl spun on the lathe. (messy) I then ebonized the outside of the bowl, and finished with tung oil. Rich's writing is still visible on the bottom of the bowl. 7 1/2 diameter
Center: Small bowl of padauk with 2 strips of copper. The copper was epoxied to the wood before turning. 4 inch diameter.
Top RIght: A beautiful piece of redwood burl, 6 inch diameter.
Bottom Left: Natural edge hackberry bowl - 7 inches
Bottom Right: A bowl within a bowl. Outer wood is ambrosia maple, the inner wood is walnut - finished with tung oil. 6 inch diameter
