Dick Pickering

This lamp base is constructed in William Smith's open segment style.
In fact, it is an adaptation of one of his patterns.
The open segmented section is made up of 21 rings, each having 24 segments. 
The base is made up of 4 rings, which are made of 12 solid joined segm
The top ring is made of one piece. 
The total number of pieces is 553. 

The woods used are maple, mahogany, and walnut.

Inside the lamp there are two electric candles which twinkle through the openings between the segments.

The lamp body is 13" high and 7" in diameter.
