Wood turners are hospitable folks and Silicon Valley Woodturners often have wood turner visitors drop in from all over the world - Italy, England and recently New Zealand.

Our latest visitors were Pepi and John Waite, over from Aukland, New Zealand. They stopped into our January club meeting and before the evening was over she and John were like long time members of the club. Kiwis are great people and Pepi and John are perfect examples.

Pepi, a member of the North Shore Woodturners, has been turning for three years. She turns on a DVR Nova. Pepi brought along two examples of her turnings - the bowl is poplar and the lidded piece is Kauri., just one of the interesting woods available in New Zealand and pretty much unknown to us in the U.S.
